Sofcy Reviews app embed
The core embed runs quietly on every page of your store. It has nothing for shoppers to see, but review-request links and order attribution depend on it.
What it does
- Opens the review form from email links. When a customer clicks a star in a review request email, the link lands on the product page. The embed opens the review form, fills in their name and email, and selects the star they clicked.
- Attributes orders to reviews. If a shopper arrived from a review link and then buys, the embed tags their cart so the order can be counted in Analytics.
The Home page setup guide checks this embed on your published theme. Until it is on, the Enable Sofcy on your store task stays open and the Widgets status reads Embed disabled.
Turn it on
- In the app, go to Home and click Enable app embed in the setup guide. The theme editor opens on App embeds with Sofcy Reviews switched on.
- Click Save.
You can also get there yourself: Online Store › Themes › Customize, then the App embeds icon in the left bar.
App embeds are switched on per theme. If you publish a different theme later, turn the embed on there too.
Settings
None. The embed shows a short note in the theme editor and nothing else.
The other app embeds
Sofcy offers four app embeds in total. The other three show something to shoppers:
